SOUND THINKING -

HYPERMODERN SONIC

"Sound Thinking" is a metaphor for utilizing the computer as an audio production tool and also a descriptor of the mental state achieved during the creation process. Both digital and analog signals are fabricated, recorded, and manipulated using the machine. "Sound Collage" is akin to an artist's sketch while more formal musical content is parallel to a well rendered drawing. Sonic pursuits have proven most helpful in adding dynamism to installations, web animations, and digital videos, as well as served as an outlet for non-visual experimentation.

To the left you will see a Java application load, it's organized just like a hardware audio player. Simply select a song from the playlist by double clicking and control playback just like you would on any CD or cassette player. The sound collage and songs are arranged newest at the top of the list. To add this feature to your page, visit Javazoom.
