Testing Cleans

I spoke to Coach Taylor this morning, and got really psyched about testing again.
So the goals according to him should be 2.5 x body weight for squats (160 x 2.5 = 400) and 1.5 x body weight in cleans (1.5 x 160 = 240) Today I started too light, ended up catching 205 on the 3rd attempt (I started *in* the cage, and that was akward as hell as I almost hit the edges) so I got out of there and right away caught it...at 215 (my goal for this test) I was getting it up past my shoulders, and not really taking a risk to catch it. I just (like we said a long time ago) have to throw my self under that...it's tough I wussed out on metal weights, it's a bit tougher than the rubber ones and platforms at CU...
Wed. I ran hills and I can see a clear improvement on the 50m hill sprints, running low 12's-13's now, (and started around 14's-15's in June) My HR is about 155-160 so that's in the right range.

I did check out Nietos stats, and have started to keep my own again. My PRs in college were 380 in squats (soph, and I think I was shallow) and 225 in cleans senior year (that was a killer lift, with a huge celebratory "HUSK!").
So right now I'm at 2.18 x bw in squats and 1.28 x bw in cleans...I need to get strong for DECEMBER!
Do you guys test for bench and inc. bench?
Next time I test, I'm definitely going to get a beeper (so I know when to come back up) and get a better nights sleep, I was working on an art project till 3 and slept till 6 and then tested...(DUH!)
In other news, it was Lauren Kilduff's birthday on the 4th, and we had a nice little chat, she's doiing well in NYC and hooping in a young professionals league...it's nice to reconnect with the CU Jumps crew.
