Back to testing, after a day off, we went to the lifting max in squats and cleans. I felt pretty good, started off with cleans. I was a bit ambitious and loaded the bar with 235. Got it racked cleanly 4 times, but I'm pissed i didn't get the 5th one. That comes out to 265lbs (almost 270, damn). For Pete, that's 1.45x the body weight(183 right now).
Squats weren't as impressive but felt good at 275 warm up, so I jumped to 315lbs, three plates. Got 5 pretty quality ones down, coming to 360(1.97x). A PR and up from 340 six weeks ago.
Pete, thanks for the step by step, I don't think you've ever taken me though it. I'll take you though my first time when it happens.
P.S. Everyone know Bannister first broke 4:00, but who first jumped 7'?
