Training is going well, I'm swimming/paddling 5-6 days a week, (and by swimming I mean in the pool, paddling on the 6'6" PINTAIL)
Trying to learn how to surf, crosstraining on the bike two days a week, circuits, and lifting 3 days a week....feeling good about getting 6'9" by April.
That's the goal. I would love to compete in the Stanford Invite, however I believe in order to be in the open section, you've got to have 7' under your belt in the last year...we'll see how it goes.
I can't even express how happy I am after being in grad school for two years how good it feels to have a schedule open up where I can spend time doing what I need to get back into competitive shape. I'm very pleased with my progress, and hope to jump by the end of Nov. Right now, I'm focusing on core/midbody/legs...form is going to have to come later.
IF anyone has leads on coaches in SF, at the college or HS level, please let me know....
Keep working hard this off-season, I know it will pay huge dividends in the spring.
