Sweet deal Pete, get it done, get some pictures up.
While you're jumping, we're tearing it up getting strong and in shape, I choose playing hoops at Helen Newman. Pick up ball is great there, I had a sweet dunk over a Tim Duncan looking dude in a tournament hosted by the COESP people, it was sick (I just showed up with Farrell and we were on a team, wierd). I hadn't dunked over anyone since Farrell in crazyball.
A few weekend ago I went to a HJ camp put on by Dwight Stones, Doug Nordquist, Benn Fields, Mike Vuchovich and Beth Castango (eveyone should know the first 3 at least!). It was cool cause there were 128 high jumper there and a few 7 footers. I learned a lot, which means higher heights to come in the future. Give me a few more months and the I'll start throwing out some numbers for you all. All I know is that Dwight saw some hope in me.
Peace, jump high when you can.

I'm so ready to be successful again!!!
I've got new Asics, a place to sleep and a flight to Denver, I have to rent a car once I'm there and drive Early Morning to get to the track by 9 though the women go first, so I have to leave denver probably around 7...
I'm going to jump 6'8" and have great attempts at 6'10" and my goal is to make that! I've been rehearsing it in my mind, and doing a lot of weightlifting...and the over the bar tech is going to be just like riding a bike...I just have to remember to press through the turn, flat step, toe up, and Boom!!! enjoy the ride...
:-)
I'm very excited to compete. I've got my home-made uniform, suit (thanks Taq for the help), and I'll bring my camera so hopefully someone can get some footage...
P.S. I'm so excited to see the Rocky Mountains...I've only been to Lake Tahoe for about 3 hours, and to the Appalachians for a few days...too bad I can't stay a bit longer...gotta get that sponsorship so I don't have to pay for my own tix, shoes, meet fees etc...

Been really trying to get the right ankle loosened up, using the wobble board, and the blue bubble thingy, it seems to be working I have much better mobility and don't have as much pain...getting closer to 100%
In other news, I did sets of dead-lifts at 275 today...stoked...Hamstrings/Glutes (HJ's best friends) are getting stronger...

Been playing a lot of basketball, and lifting 3-4 days a week, I can see my legs getting stronger, and that's really positive...Also got a heart-rate monitor so that's making running and sprints a bit more effective.
