5-1 loss to Holla Back
55-50.

We made mental errors down the stretch, and there's no one play that stands out. We have a big game in two weeks vs. "The Fat Kidz".

We really REALLY needed a sub today. For the playoffs we've got to have at least 6. Next season we definitely need to have a full roster at all times so we can be competitive in the "Top Gun" league.

I also played 40 min for The Orphans along with Tate, shot well, and lost...I got a major left calf cramp, but got through the game and then rolled it out at home.

We'll get it done in playoffs. I believe in each and every one of my team-mates.

Scouting Report
I played with two of the guys from Holla Back today, and I've heard that they won't have everyone that they normally play with (actually Eric and Preston will be gone for us) so that's not really good either.

I anticipate that we'll keep an up-tempo game and be fine. We learned our mistakes last week, never let up.

TSP 5-0, Seals Regular Season 1st place
We've locked first place in the playoffs which is great, becasue that means we get a bye in the first round.

We won last night VS. Low Running 51-38, we were up 30-17 at the half, and TATE was off the chain, really working hard on the moves down low and every guard had at least 3 assists to him. We only had 5 players, so no subs and a bit of foul trouble, and we let them back in. We need to get to the point where we keep the intensity up the whole time.

Next week will be our most challenging game vs. Holla Back. We'll be ready for them.

Pell's 6'11 Jump and More vids


Goodness, there's so many, personal favorites.

Mark's 6'7" first attempt As I always say, first attempts win meets, and he squeeked Paddy on this one...

Jim's 6'5" third attempt 6'5" Very encouraging for the season.

Pete and Paddy's misses at 6'7" and 6'9" respectively. HUGE jumps, only to come down on the bar on the backside.

Ethan's end of comp in the PV, note he PR'd in LJ 7.12m, sweet.

Three jumpers concentrating...

I thought this was a great still from the meet...I'll get the videos up soon, I'm just breaking them into individual jumps, so I can save a bit of bandwidth.

Team Sting Poomps Remains Undefeated
Last week, after missing a few key players (and a legal game of 4 on 4) TSP (Team Sting Poomps) beat DC's Mafia, and because of a forfeit tonight against the Orphans we have run our record to 4-0.

Tonight they didn't have enough people so we loaned them two forwards, so we could at least get 20 minutes in of good team basketball. I had the opportunity for a dunk and got a squaker/inbetweener (I didn't really throw it down) though after the game Eric, Tate, myself and Brian all got a few flushes...

SO, we look forward to next week and Preston's return, thanks to J's friend Eric #2 for coming and getting some PT.

Rumor on the street is that Zach will join us this coming week, always a help to have another forward who can dunk...

Video from CU


I have digitized the video and given it a look, I'll be uploading it tonight, for right now we can all look in amazement as I clear 6'7" by like 4 inches, only to hit it on the back side and foul out...

Timing is critical...I guess I'll get it figured out as the season progresses. Again Great to see everyone, and I've also included a pretty sweet pic from the end of the day...boy was it ever cold...

So, even though not everyone jumped as high as they would have liked, I know everyone had a fucking awsome time. Pete, always a great time when you're around, same with Ethan(not sure if he is a stingpoomps.com close follower). Plus, you can't complain when you hit 2.11m first meet and don't have to piss yourself. I was excited about the year but wasn't sure how it would go, now I have to prove that was not a one time occurance like last year. Anyways, I'm excited for the video to be posted so I can watch that religously for the next month.
Definately keep stingin' it everyone!
